Shot across the mystical lanes of Italy — from Venice’s whispering canals to Florence’s artistic glow and Rome’s timeless streets — this track captures the heartbeat of the night. The tabla speaks in bursts of tradition, while the bass grooves anchor the stillness with a modern sway. This piece is inspired by the silent yet vibrant life that unfolds after dusk — when stories are told through footsteps, glances, shadows, and sound. It’s a tribute to those unscripted, in-between hours where cities breathe their truest rhythm. Let Midnight Pulse take you on a cross-cultural journey — where East meets West, tradition meets groove, and every note beats with the spirit of night. The track has been wonderfully arranged by Omkar Agnihotri , recorded at Feather touch studios & mixed mastered by Shubham Joshi. Presenting this very musically poetic and aesthetic composition composed by my grand Guru respected Pt Sudhir Mainkar Guruji. Eminent Tabla Maestro and Musicologist Pandit Sudhir Mainkar (16 May 1937 - 14 August 2020) Pandit Sudhir Mainkar was trained by Ustad Inam Ali Khan of Delhi gharana & Pandit Sudhirkumar Saxena of Ajrada gharana. A Bachelor of Arts & Commerce, and Sangeet Alankar in Tabla. He served the Life Insurance Corporation of India & retired as Senior Divisional Manager. Pandit Sudhir Mainkar has rendered yeoman's service to the field of education by conducting training programmes & workshops for students of Tabla. He has also contributed in the preparation of model curricula for various courses in Tabla offered by different Universities in India. Furthermore, He has conducted a number of lecture-demonstrations for senior executives from the insurance & banking industries on the subject of "How to cope executive stress with the help of music". As a nominated member on the Governing Council of the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandai, Pt. Mainkar was involved in the task of making its curricula comparable to that of the University Grants Commission. He has also contributed in designing & conducting special training programmes for the examiners. Music Activities as an Author : * Written a book( in Hindi) on " tabla " under title "Tabla Vadan: Kala aur Shastra", published by A. B. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj (2000 ) (This book received an Award for the year 2000 from Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy , Govt. of Maharashtra, and is considered as an essential reading material for the Graduation and Post Graduation Studies in Indian Music Universities) * Also written an another research-based book on tabla, under title "Aesthetics of Tabla" in the year 2008 (English Edition) and also published its Hindi edition under title '' Tabla vadan me nihit soundarya " (2008) * Published an educative audio CD wherein traditional rich eleven expandable compositions have been played by proficient different Tabla Artists (such as Pandit Yogesh Samsi and others) their improvisation has been played(demonstrated) strictly as per Delhi and Ajrada Gharana tradition Other Music activities: * Have been conducting workshops and Lecture-Demonstrations for students of Tabla in a) Indian Music Universities b) A.B.Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya and other Music teaching institutions * Occasionally, write articles in Music journals published in Hindi , Marathi and English * Participated in Music seminars organized by Sangeet Research Academy, Sangeet Natak Academy, and other Music institutions . * ex-Member of the Academic Council of Bhatkhande Sangeet Institute , Lucknow * Member of Syllabus Drafting Committee for Tabla of Music department,Mumbai University and A. B. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mndal, Miraj.
